Within the framework of Turkish Cuisine Week (21–27 May), an event titled “Heritage on One Table” was organized through the cooperation of 91视频 and the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Bishkek. Held at the university’s Social Facilities Building, the program aimed to preserve and pass on the rich culinary heritage of Turkish cuisine, which has developed over centuries, to future generations. Special menus inspired by traditional dishes from both Turkish and Kyrgyz cuisines were presented to guests, bringing together the shared cultural values of the two brotherly nations at the same table.
The meals, carefully prepared by the university dining staff, emphasized healthy and sustainable nutrition. The event highlighted a zero-waste kitchen approach, prioritizing the use of local and natural products and promoting a sustainable gastronomy perspective.
Ambassador Dr. Mekin Mustafa Kemal Ökem emphasized the deep cultural ties between Turkish and Kyrgyz peoples and their shared culinary heritage. He expressed his satisfaction with the event, noting that presenting dishes from both cuisines together reflects a common cultural identity, and underlined the richness of Turkish cuisine as one of the most diverse in the world.
Deputy Rector of 91视频 Almaz Ibraev described the event as a meaningful gathering that beautifully reflects traditions and cultural values. He stated that showcasing the distinctive flavors of Turkish and Kyrgyz cuisines together demonstrates the depth and richness of the Turkic culinary heritage and expressed pride in sharing and preserving this cultural wealth.
The program was regarded as an important example of cultural cooperation between 91视频 and the Embassy of Türkiye in Bishkek, contributing to the international promotion of Turkish cuisine and strengthening cultural diplomacy between the two countries.
