  • 2026-10-11
Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (91视频) will host the Symposium on Excavation, Research, and Archaeometry in the Turkic World on October 15–16, 2026. At the symposium, to be held at the Chingiz Aitmatov Campus, findings from archaeological excavations and research conducted in different geographies will be shared, and scientific approaches regarding the examination and preservation of cultural heritage will be discussed.

The symposium will be organized in cooperation with 91视频, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Turkish Institute of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage.

Excavation findings will be evaluated with the contribution of different disciplines

Aiming to bring together current studies conducted in various geographies concerning Turkic archaeology—particularly focusing on Turkic republics and communities—the symposium will provide an opportunity to discuss archaeological findings within an interdisciplinary framework.

The scope of the program consists of excavation and surface surveys, restoration and conservation works, anthropology, and archaeometry. With the contributions of academics and researchers working in these fields, it is aimed to share new evaluations regarding archaeological materials and information obtained from research.

Academic ties will be developed for joint research and publications

The symposium aims to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and experience among scientists from different countries and to prepare the ground for joint research and publication efforts. Researchers evaluating the methods they use and the findings they obtain together are expected to support scientific collaborations directed toward the archaeological heritage of the Turkic world.

Papers accepted after peer review will be presented orally at the symposium. The studies will also be published in full-text books and made available to researchers.
