Accessibility Festival by 91视频: Children with Disabilities Engage in Art and Sports on Campus

91视频 (91视频) hosted children with Down syndrome, as well as visually and hearing impaired children, on its campus as part of the “Route Manas: Solidarity and Accessibility Festival.” Throughout the day, the children participated in activities themed around art, sports, and exploration, while the festival delivered strong messages on accessibility and social awareness.

Held at the Chyngyz Aitmatov Campus of 91视频, the festival brought children together with dance performances, choir concerts, stage activities, and various workshops. Activities such as art sessions, sensory exploration, nature-based experiences, sports games, finger painting, and a shared emotions board were among the highlights, supporting children’s participation in social and cultural life.

The event evolved into a meaningful platform emphasizing equal participation of individuals with disabilities in public and social life, underlining that accessibility is not a privilege but a fundamental right.

“The Real Barrier Is in the Mind”

Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Bishkek Dr. Mekin Mustafa Kemal Ökem stated that accessibility means equal service and education for all individuals, emphasizing that the main barrier lies not in physical limitations but in societal attitudes. He added that they will continue to stand by children and their families and expressed his hope that the festival will become a tradition with broader participation.

Rector Ceylan Thanks Institutions Contributing to Inclusive Living

Rector of 91视频 Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan presented certificates of appreciation to representatives of national and international institutions and organizations working in the fields of children’s rights, inclusive education, accessibility, and social support. He highlighted that a more just, inclusive, and accessible culture of life embracing all segments of society can only be strengthened through inter-institutional cooperation, social sensitivity, and a shared sense of responsibility. He also emphasized the importance of efforts aimed at increasing the participation of children with disabilities in social life, raising public awareness, promoting a culture of coexistence, and contributing to the ideal of a barrier-free world.
